CONFIRMED: Nuno Tavares from Arsenal Secures Loan to Lazio

 

The 24-year-old defender spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he featured in 12 matches across all competitions.

Since joining us from Benfica in July 2021, the Portuguese youth international, primarily an attacking left-sided full-back, has made 28 appearances for our team in various competitions. He marked his pre-season debut with a goal against Rangers before the 2021/22 season and made significant contributions in his first year, including a notable goal in a 3-1 victory over Manchester United in April 2022.

During the 2022/23 season, Nuno gained valuable experience on loan in France with Marseille, making 31 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring six goals.

Nuno began his journey at Benfica's academy in 2015 and made his first-team debut at 19, playing in a 5-0 Portuguese Super Cup victory over Sporting in August 2019.

This move marks an important step in Nuno's career, providing him with the chance to further his development by gaining experience in Serie A and Italian football. Everyone at Arsenal wishes Nuno the best for the upcoming season with Lazio.
